Since, 2011 the Alchemy Comedy Theater has been committed to teaching the art of improv comedy throughout the Greenville area. That's why we are sponsoring the 6th Annual New South Comedy Festival guest workshops. These are one time chances to learn from a veteran instructors from throughout the country.

Fundamentals of Game
The game of the scene is a very broad term that is defined in many different ways. This workshop will teach you to stop pushing to create games, and will use the basics which you already to know, to find a game that you might not know already exists.

Corey Brown loves improv and has been doing it for over two decades. He has taught at various theaters and festivals all over the east coast. He was also an instructor for Upright Citizens Brigage in New York. UCB Teams he has performed with are Whorenado and Badman.  Corey was raised in Chapel Hill, NC, and after a 12 year stint in NYC, he has moved back and is now teaching classes at the PIT Chapel Hill. Corey feels that improv is more than just a way to help people be funny. It is a community of like minded people that are supportive and willing to take risks, and these are his type of people.
