About this event
The Mothers is made up of graduates of improv comedy training programs across the nation. This comedy group makes their home at Trustus Theatre in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. Now in their seventh season, The Mothers are the three-time winner of Best Local Improv or Comedy Group in the Free Times Best of Columbia awards. They have partnered with the Richland Library, the Columbia Museum of Art, Girls Block, and have twice been featured at the New South Comedy Festival. They are thankful to Alchemy Theatre and all those who make New South happen!
Monarch is an Alchemy Comedy Theater house team that performs a group monoscene. Based on a single suggestion this group of veteran performers creates a single long scene full of drama, stakes, and of course comedy. It's a one act play that is written, produced, and performed live on stage.
Newt Work is a comedy collective focusing on improvised narrative stories emphasizing plot, conflict and relationships. The team is comprised of East Coast comedians of all different races, religions and genders. Their home theater is ComedyWorx in Raleigh, NC, but they have performed in New York, Virginia and Washington D.C.
