Local Legends: Improv Comedy Inspired by Larisa Gelman (Peace Center's VP of Community Impact)

Local Legends is the Alchemy Comedy Theater's flagship weekly improv show. Every Friday night at 9:00pm, a different local legend (person of note) tells their own local legends (personal stories) to inspire this fully improvised show.

Tonight's show will feature stories from Larisa Gelman (Peace Center's VP of Community Impact).

Larisa is committed to creating original programs in music, theater, poetry, and dance for children and adults. In her current role, Gelman designs and implements innovative and effective arts-in-education, STEM and Literary programs, with the objective of ensuring these disciplines are in the core curriculum of public schools. She serves on the board of the South Carolina Arts Alliance. As a performing artist, she has established herself as a dynamic bassoonist and teacher in the US and abroad. Gelman served as principal bassoonist of the Carolina Chamber Symphony has frequently joined New Haven, Norwalk and Riverside Symphony and the Saint Alban’s Symphonia.
