Feb 10: Improv 101 Show and Guest Storyteller Michael Robinette

Posted on Updated on

8:00PM – Improv 101 Student Showcase

Alchemy Improv Comedy is committed to teaching the art of improv comedy and this week features a very special early show featuring the students of Alchemy Improv Comedy Training Center. After completing 6 weeks of Improv 101, these comedians are ready to show off their skills.

Their showcase will be a series of simple scenes and short form improv games. Be sure to be there early to support students of comedy! You could even see what is possible if  you take our next Improv 101 starting March 1st.

9:30PM – Local Legends with Stories from Michael Robinette

Then our regularly scheduled mainstage show begins with guest storyteller local stand-up comedian Michael Robinette. Because he participated in Improv Meets Stand-up show in November, this is the second time Michael has graced the Alchemy Comedy stage. Only this time it’s personal.

Instead of stand-up comedy, Michael will be sharing stories from his personal life to inspire improv comedy. With his unique brand of comedy, Michael has performed all across the Southeast and is a regular at No Expectations open mic night.

Two great shows and each for only $5. So be sure not to miss out. Doors for each show open 30 minutes before.

Dec 9: Local Actor/Comedian Jason Farr

Our special guest storyteller this week has already graced the stage for our stand-up comedy meets improv comedy night. This time he’s back, and it’s personal. That’s right, he’ll be telling personal stories to inspire our completely improvised show.

As an actor Jason Farr has appeared in ads for Bi-Lo, Palmetto Bank, and Spinx. He’s also been featured in Denny’s and Michelin corporate training videos. As a stand-up comedian he’s appeared at  The Lab, The Magnetic Field, and Elaine’s Piano Bar at NC’s renowned Grove Park Inn. You can see him most Monday nights in Greenville hosting open mic night at Coffee Underground.

As usual, doors open at 9pm, tickets are $5, and you can buy them online right now!
