Want to take our improv classes, but can’t commit to continuous week nights over summer? Then our 4 1/2 day Summer Improv 101-201 intensive is for you! It will run from Monday, July 9th-Friday, July 13th from 10am-4pm (with a half day on Friday). You will go through our 12 weeks of our curriculum in just 1 week and for half the price and there is no comedy or theater experience necessary! Here’s the information about the instructor:
The school manger Harrison Brookie is a trained educator who has spent several years teaching public high school. He was also a resident instructor under Zach Ward at the DSI Comedy Theater in NC, which has heavily inspired our style and curriculum.
Improv 101 will teach you the basic framework for doing comedic scenes. The focus will be on the fundamentals of agreement, relationship, character, and environment. Improv 201 is an introduction to the patterns that make up a scene. This class will focus on the fundamentals of scene pattern recognition, creation, and heightening. There will be a student showcase the last night of the show. You can register for the class online. If you have any questions call (864) 256-1467 or fill out this form and we’ll contact you!
