Alchemy Comedy is committed to bring comedy to Greenville in all forms. We specialize in improv comedy, but also feature special stand-up comedy shows with out-of-town headliners. This Friday night the cast of Alchemy Comedy will open up for veteran stand-up comedians from both Carolinas!

Tom Keller is the Director of Standup for the DSI Comedy Theater, where he teaches classes and produces the weekly showcases at DSI and Chapel Hill’s Back Bar.  He is also the winner of the Carolina’s Funniest Comic competition in 2010. Tom recently received one of the biggest honors of his career when he was one of only 20 standup performers chosen nationally for the upcoming Great American Comedy Festival in Johnny Carson’s hometown of Norfolk, Nebraska.

After doing stand-up for the first show, Nick will be our storyteller for the second. Nick Shaheen is the founder of Greenville’s Stand Up State Comedy. Graduating from UCLA where he performed and wrote on UCLAtv’s Mike and Ben Show (with future SNL-er Nasim Pedrad) he immediately went into film production as a Story Editor for David Kirschner Productions.

His life changed course after working in Wilmington, NC on HBO’s Eastbound and Down with Danny McBride and Adam McKay. Since moving to Greenville Nick has created several weekly comedy shows at the Radio Room and Coffee Underground.
