7:30PM – King of the Mountain: Competitive Improv Games ($8)
It’s a full on comedy battle royale! Eight players competing for points and your laughs. You may have seen some games like this on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, but here the points matter. It’s a head to head tournament where players are eliminated, dreams are made, and one is named comedy king for the evening. This week come out and watch a man vs man vs man vs man vs man vs man comedy competition. Show up and help crown this week’s champion.
Friday’s second show features the all-star cast of Local Legends doing improv based on stories from Toastmasters‘ Speakers Bureau Chair for District 58. Speakers Bureau is an organization within Toastmasters that connects Toastmaster Speakers and organizations looking for experienced speakers. Dana is an experienced storyteller within the Toastmasters organization and a professional piano and voice instructor, as well as Speakers Bureau Chair for 2013-2014. This week, Dana’s true stories will inspire an entirely improvised show in Local Legends.

7:30PM – Dual Duel: Competitive Improv Games ($8)
Now in it’s regular time, this Saturday’s 7:30 show is Alchemy Comedy’s players in Dual Duel. Two duos in a head-to-head comedy competition for points and your laughs. There will be a mix of familiar games like those featured on the show Whose Line Is It Anyway?, some Alchemy favorites, and a lot of suggestions from the audience. Every week features the Red team vs. the Blue team vying for your affections. Come out and help decide who walks away a victor, and who simply walks away. You may have seen improv games before, but you probably haven’t seen it like this!
Saturday’s late show is a stand-up comedy showcase featuring some great comics from the region.
Headlining the night is Asheville comic, Minori Hinds. “She delivers her droll, multicultural perspective on anything from biscuits to psychology, delighting audiences in Denver, Atlanta, Greenville, and all over the Southeast.”
This showcase also features fellow Asheville comic Kelly Rowland.
