New South Comedy Festival
24 shows. 12 workshops. 300 performers. From November 1-10th, improvisors, stand-up comedians, and sketch comedy guests from across the country will converge on Greenville, SC for the 5th Annual New South Comedy Festival. This year's performers hail from Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, Washington D.C., Austin, Rhode Island, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Knoxville, Louisville, Denver, and here in the Carolinas!
Seating is limited, so it's always wise to pre-purchase your tickets online. All shows will be at the Alchemy Comedy Theater in downtown Greenville, SC. Street parking is available (if you're lucky), along with several nearby parking garages.
Comedy workshops will also be held on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on both weekends.
Katie Johnston (Jacksonville, FL)
Katie is an actress and comedian who hails from Long Island, New York. She has performed professionally in regional theatre throughout Florida and in Los Angeles, including productions at The Geffen Playhouse, The Odyssey Theatre and The Norris Theatre. She now resides in Jacksonville, FL where she can be seen performing stand-up comedy every week at Laugh Lounge, Jacksonville's premiere comedy showcase.
Peter Moses (Los Angeles, CA)
Peter Moses is a Los Angeles based writer, comedian, basketball boi. He's performed at fun places that include SF Sketchfest, the Del Close Marathon, The Comedy Store and @MixtapeLA. You can see him doing acting stuff on Funny or Die, The Kroll Show, Comedy Bang Bang and Barely Famous. Writing credits include TBS's Billy On The Street and VH1's Barely Famous. He co-hosts @AirBudsPod, the number one comedy lifestyle NBA podcast.
Unstoppable Failure (Greensboro, NC)
Comprised of The Brothers Schraeder (A.J. and Al-don), Unstoppable Failure is a 2 man sketch comedy show that takes a healthy dose of absurdity and slams it against sharp satirical writing. They have been official selections at SF Sketchfest, NYC Sketch Festival, Philly Sketchfest, The New South Comedy Festival, Chicago Sketchfest, and The North Carolina Comedy Festival.
