Improv Comedy from Impromptu (FL), Co-workers (ATL), Local Legends (USA)

Friday November 12, 2021 from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM

The New South Comedy Festival will be November 4th-13th featuring improv, stand-up, musical, and sketch comedy shows from across the country

Impromptu: This trio from Sarasota FL has perfected the dramatic improv genre when it comes to improvised plays set within the 1940s-50s. Whether it's a Tennessee Williams-inspired drama or the high emotions of Passion Noir, they have it nailed. Their natural approach to dialogue and story often inspires the question, "What play did that come from?" But, like all improv, it's inspired line by line with just a suggestion or two from the audience. Although together for just four years, Impromptu has performed at festivals across the U.S. and plan to head off to several European cities in 2022.

Co-Workers: Winner of the Atlanta Improv Fest Battle and starring Jason Velazquez (The Village Theatre) and Hannah Aslesen (Dad's Garage), Co-Workers is a completely improvised, two-person comedy show that explores the relationships between different types of co-workers each night. You, the audience, get to choose where they work! Watch Hannah and Jason come together with different, yet complimentary, improv comedy styles that will leave you laughing all night.

Local Legends has been the Alchemy Comedy Theater's flagship weekly improv show for over 10 years. Usually, a different local legend (person of note) tells their own local legends (personal stories) to inspire this fully improvised show. But this special all-star festival edition feature non-local stories and a one-night-only collaboration of improvisers from throughout the country!
