8:00PM – Scared Sketchless: Improv meets Sketch ($5)
This Friday marks the last first of our Scared ____less series. In May of 2012 improv met scripted theater in Scared Scriptless, a show in which one player is reading from a script and the other is improvising the other half of a scene. Last fall was the first Scared Setless in which stand-up comedians from Alchemy and the local stand-up scene had to do a 5 minute set on topics they had never seen before getting on stage. And now Scared Sketchless, in which the cast will create an entire sketch show in one hour, with both improvised and on-the-spot written parts. Come out for a one-of-a-kind show.
Friday’s second show features the all-star cast of Local Legends doing improv based on the stories of local comedian and sketch writer-performer, Craig Longino. Craig does stand-up with No Expectations and Stand Up State, as well as sketch with Old Toys and Broken Furniture and video-sketches with Wind-up Mouse Productions. By day, Craig works at St. Francis Hospital as a Phlebotomist. We’re excited to find out what that is and more when he tells stories this Friday in Local Legends!
Craig will also be one of the writer/performers of the written half of Scared Sketchless at 8.
