8:00PM – Improv 101 Student Showcase and Harold Night (Guest Harold from Clemson’s Mock Turtle Soup)($5)
Alchemy has 4 classes that first teach students the elements of a scene culminating in a fourth class that teaches an improv structure called “The Harold.” This Friday see our newest students perform their first scenes in front of an audience, followed by some of our oldest students performing in our newest monthly show, Harold Night. Harold night will include a performance by Alchemy’s Harold Team as well as one by Clemson University’s Improv Troupe, Mock Turtle Soup.
9:30PM – Local Legends with stories from the members of Mock Turtle Soup ($8)
Friday’s second show features the all-star cast of Local Legends doing improv based on the stories of the members of Clemson University’s improv troupe, Mock Turtle Soup. Mock Turtle Soup performs monthly short form and long form improv shows for Clemson’s student body and the surrounding area. They’ve been trained by professional improvisers at festivals as well as their annual trip to the home of modern improv, Chicago. It is a great pleasure to host Mock Turtle Soup as several of the current Alchemy members got their start in Mock Turtle Soup.
