After selling out our last Improv 101 in March, we’ve opened up another session. So far our students have been a varying mix of entrepreneurs and engineers, those who want to perform and those who just want to work on public speaking and collaboration skills. Here’s the basic description from our classes page:
The head instructor Harrison Brookie is a trained educator who has spent several years teaching public high school. He was also a resident instructor under Zach Ward at the DSI Comedy Theater in NC, which has heavily inspired our style and curriculum.
Each class runs once a week, for six weeks from 6:30-9:00pm. There is no comedy or theater experience necessary and all students get free admission to Alchemy Comedy shows while they are enrolled in a class.
This introductory class will teach you the basic framework for doing comedic scenes. The focus will be on the fundamentals of agreement, relationship, character, and environment. You can register for the class online. If you have any questions call (864) 256-1467 or fill out this form and we’ll contact you!
